Oh Berlin

Some would love it (like me), some would just think it’s a waist of their time. Personally, the main character, Niko, really touched me with its sensibility and the way he cares about people. He had a horrible day, everybody seems to be against him, neighbour, dad, old schoolmate… only in the end he finds peace with a single sip of coffee. You live each moment like you were there, it was your life all screwed up but some things remain beautiful not matter what: morning light in Berlin, empty streets, everything in black and white silver photography. Simple and elegant, you leave the dark room all shaken up. At least I did.

Y’a quoi en ce moment à la MEP?

Philippe Halsman (1906-1979)

Ferrante Ferranti

Perfect gift-wrapped

When it was time to buy a gift for a very special friend of mine, I couldn’t help but rush to my favorite shop at the moment: & Other Stories. I knew I could find this little something very special and I did, instantly. My satisfaction reached its top when I saw how perfectly my gift was wrapped! I mean it was just very neat, minimalist, simple but aesthetic. Ok now you must think I am completely nuts! But you get my point right? Why the other pictures? Well basically it is related since I am wearing a top from Monki, a skirt from H&M and brand new nude sandals from… & Other Stories (ok it’s an obsession!)

Matching obsession

You already know Marion. She is the queen of little details, accessories and nail art. She always impresses me because everything matches together! Here she is wearing a top from Monki (yes we love that brand), DIY necklace (impressive right?), shoes and  bag from Zara. Have you noticed her incredible nail art? I’ll post something about that later. And if you are a fan like me of her jewelry, please encourage her to start a business! I know there is something like a success story hidding somewhere…

phoenix bankrupt

What?! You haven’t listened to the new album of Phoenix? Well it is just POP but it is Phoenix’s pop and if you liked their previous work, you’ll appreciate this just as much. Plus, don’t you love the album cover? It’s retrofreshcolorfulfruity, very SS13.

Have you seen Marc?

Two things about this post: first of all, my new eyeglasses from Marc by Marc J. I was passing by this shop’s window every day on my way to work and every time I was thinking: I love love love this pair! Fortunately I needed a new pair (for my poor weak eyes) so I decided to go in and try it. At first I thought it was definitely too big. But well, I am me and I am not afraid of daring so I dared and I don’t have any regrets, they look really cool and unique!

Second, have you seen or read “One Day”? If you haven’t, please do right away! My favourite sentimental/drama story amazingly written by David Nicholls and played on the screen by Anne Hathaway and Jim Sturgess.
