The day before departure

IMG_0828 About a week ago, one of my BFF – which I met 4 years ago in our beloved little town in the South of France, also known as Aix-en-Provence – left our rainy-cold-in-crisis European country to fly to what you might call: OZ, Down Under, paradise, and most of all a wealthy continent: Australia! It was a spontaneous decision made when she graduated from University last September. She just reached a point in her life where she was craving for adventures and curious about the outside world, outside EU, to meet other people and experience different culture. Well done, Australia is MILES AWAY and my mornings are her evenings. You can imagine how faaaar she left! She landed in Melbourne, after a 12 hours connection in Hô Chi Minh where she was not allowed to leave the airport (ok we are lucky to have Schengen), where the average temperature is now approximately 29 degrees. I am NOT jealous at all! I just got back from Berlin where it was freezing, and I arrived in Paris where it was (still) raining. Summer is far away. Just like Maé. So if you’re wondering if she is all alone in a foreign land, not exactly. She convinced (easily) her super-comprehensive-open-minded BF to join her trip. Could this be any more perfect? No EU crisis, no political mess… just living in the SUN, on the BEACH, with lots of LOVE. But no to worry, I will also be graduated soon and I am planning to invade their little paradise and share a piece of the happy cake! We took these pictures in the street of Paris, where they spend few days just before departure. They look absolutely in love (and they are), happy and serene, ready to leave everything behind (and Maé had TONES of clothes) and start something new. Good for them, showing the good example: enjoy life, live spontaneously and have no regrets. Our Planet is beautiful and full of opportunities; don’t get stuck in a place where you feel miserable every day. Make a change. #CHANGE2014 IMG_0786(2)IMG_0792IMG_0794IMG_0799IMG_0811IMG_0832(2)IMG_0846IMG_0856The Day Before Departure | The World of BergèreIMG_0876IMG_0882IMG_0883IMG_0896IMG_0893IMG_0913IMG_0908

Nail patch me

Nail Patch AM | The Wolrd of Bergère

What can I say about that shooting? An improvisation and lots of JOY; Hysterical laugher; A vintage dots carafe (found at my grand-ma’s) and a one-piece swimsuit from the cool French brand Kulte bought during the sales in Paris (too small but it was the last one, be fashionable or don’t!). I saw it in the window (damn marketing) and it just clicked in my mind: I NEED IT! (Although I absolutely DON’T, especially in Paris) (And there is a big parrot’s head printed on it… but it makes me think about the cool We are Handsome ones so, it’s sold!) The problem is: there is no white sand beaches in the French capital city so there is nowhere I could possibly wear my new finding… as a result, I put it on and improvised a photo shoot in my kitchen. Then, I tried the Nail Patch from American Retro. Again, victim of the communication made for that expensive accessory (10 Euro for 20 patches) with a limited time set (approximately 3 days) but again, there are so cool and stylish with the tropical pattern (from the SS13 collection). What you can see on my arms are just temporary tattoos I found one day in my ELLE magazine between the fashion pages and a culinary recipe. It is the new advertising for Schwepps in France featuring the trendy couple Daphne Burki and BF Gunter Love. They look great with all their tattoos and they had the great idea to share it with us. You jump back ten years ago (or more?) while discovering with amazement the decal in your “Picsou Magasine” and put on your child body all the Donald with that wet sponge on the beach in South of France. No shame to say that I  traced all the motives, even the skull one! Besides that, in approx. 5 hours I’m flying to Israel… sometimes called “land of Faith” or “land of Party”, one thing for sure, there I will be able to show off my new Parrot swimsuit!

We are back in the streets with my favorite models, Marion and Mathilde. They looked so good with their printed tops that I couldn’t resist taking some pictures! One more time, Marion has surpassed herself with this perfect Nail Art matching her top AND her bag both from American Retro. She is wearing another creation of hers, the bird necklace and cute little black and white derby from Jonak. On the other hand, Mathilde is wearing a top from Top Shop and necklace from H&M. She was on her way to Solidays right before we took that shot! One particular things about the girls’ hands is that Mathilde is wearing her newly engagement/wedding rings! Yes this talented young beauty is just married and I wish her the very best. Congrats!

—————-

So here we are again, this is Marion and this is her perfect nail art. I can’t possibly put one stamp on my finger nail so imagine putting three on top of each other like that with different colours? No way! That’s why she impresses me, the nail art is a very precise technique that requires concentration and attention to details, you got it or you don’t! Basically if you want to realize this you have to: first, put a plain white layer on your nails and then stamp the flower patterns on top of each other using the two different tints of blue. Wait a bit for it to dry and finalize with a layer of top coat “dry fast”. Good luck!

Matching obsession

You already know Marion. She is the queen of little details, accessories and nail art. She always impresses me because everything matches together! Here she is wearing a top from Monki (yes we love that brand), DIY necklace (impressive right?), shoes and  bag from Zara. Have you noticed her incredible nail art? I’ll post something about that later. And if you are a fan like me of her jewelry, please encourage her to start a business! I know there is something like a success story hidding somewhere…
